What do you love about SPENGA?
I love the versatility. I can get bored with doing one workout for a whole hour so the 20 minute increments is amazing. Plus I am notoriously bad with stretching after my workouts and ending with yoga gets it done and makes me feel 10000 times better.
What initially drew you to SPENGA? The people!
From my first class to months later everyone is so friendly and encouraging. They really notice me and push me. I've had instructors tell me I did a good job, help me with my form, or push me to do a heavier weight.
Fess up, RIDE, REP, or REVIVE? Which is your fav?
Hmmm this is tough... definitely changes depending on the class but I really like spin. I've never done any real spin before so that has been a new challenge! And also fun to compete against myself to get a new sweet spot!
How has SPENGA impacted you outside of the studio?
SPENGA just makes me feel good. If I do an early class before work, I feel ready to go and accomplished all before 8am. It also shakes off my afternoon slump and makes me feel amazing inside and out.
Where can we find you when you aren't at SPENGA?
Playing field hockey, running, or cooking. I played hockey in college and have joined an adult league (TFHL) and a run club too! Then need some good eats to fuel up afterward.
What is your favorite local restaurant/your favorite places around town?
I live in Durham and there are so many but I love M Sushi, Mateo Tapas, or Alley 26 (get the burger!)
